Yasmine "YazzieSpeaks" Arrington is a multi-faceted young woman who earned her Bachelors in Strategic Communications and History from Elon University in 2015 and her Master of Divinity degree from the Howard University School of Divinity in 2018. Yasmine holds the title of Miss District of Columbia Plus America 2016, was named Top 30 Under 30 by 93.9 WKYS (Radio One) and received national recognition on Black Girls Rock, an annual awards show on the Black Entertainment Network (BET), founded by celebrity disk jockey Beverly Bond. Yasmine is the founder, producer and host of her own radio show and podcast called "Millennial Minds," which airs during primetime hours, 6:30-7pm every Wednesday, on WERA 96.7FM and is also featured on Mixcloud and Soundcloud. Yasmine is the recipient of multiple national prizes for creating her own nonprofit called ScholarCHIPS (www.scholarchipsfund.org) for youth with incarcerated parents, such as the The Washington Redskins Scholar Award, the PeaceFirst Prize, the Linowes Leadership Award, the JM Kaplan Innovation Prize, and the Jack Kent Cooke Scholar Award just to name a few. Yasmine has worked for stellar national clients in modeling and public speaking such as Ashley Stewart, Ann Taylor Loft, TheCurvyCon, Full Figured Fashion Week, The United Nations, The All State Foundation, T-Mobile, The White House, Girls Scouts, The National Action Network, America's Promise Alliance, Prison Fellowship, Elon University, Howard University, Trinity University A&T University and American University.
